I made blueberry muffins this AM :D Mine were dried off rather than sparkling with water, though.

I was thinking of making blueberry-corn muffins with these -- that's cornbread with blueberries in it, my favorite kind of muffin.

I picked 15 pounds of blueberries (to get the bulk discount) and froze most of them. I washed and then dried them with a towel before they went into the freezer. Oddly, I have no idea how my muffin recipe would work with fresh berries: I always use frozen.

1 c flour
1 c yellow cornmeal
1/3 c sugar
pinch salt
1 egg
1/4 c melted butter
3/4 c milk
1 generous cup frozen blueberries

Preheat oven, 425. Bake 20 minutes. Makes about 8 muffins.

I think a cup of fresh berries in that will work fine. They burst and the whole muffin is blueberry goodness. I'd up the sugar to a half cup, though.

Yum! I always burn my tongue on the blueberries. :)

A NY Times cookbook had a muffin recipe I like for Thanksgiving with 4 American foods: pumpkin, cornmeal, blueberries, and maple syrup.
