disposable umbrellas

I have recently come to terms with the fact that I am the sort of person who forgets umbrellas. On the bus, at parties, at work, at the drop of a hat.
The last time I was at Brooks, I bought two $6 umbrellas, thinking maybe I'd put Murphy's Law in action and stop losing umbrellas.
Well, yesterday in all that rain and wind, my umbrella blew inside-out six times, eventually breaking two of its spokes. As I dumped it in the trash before catching the T in Central Square, I thought, "Well, at least I have another one waiting for me at home."
I'd love to have a big umbrella, or a durable one, or a pretty one, or a cute one... but with my track record, it would amount to an expensive habit. $6 per rainy day I can afford; $30 I can't. oh well.
