Date: 2010-08-19 09:21 pm (UTC)ow.. there's a monitor screen in the way!
I got two heirloom tomatoes from the farmers market yesterday - a "mortgage lifter" and a "pineapple". I ate the pineapple - yum!! I really wanted to get one of the kind like the one in your picture.
I really want to have a tomato party where I get 2 or 3 of each kind of heirloom tomato and cut them up and everyone can try each kind and get an idea of which ones they like!

Date: 2010-08-19 11:39 pm (UTC)I think your idea is brilliant! I know people who have an apple-tasting party every year. I know which apples I like best (Macouns), but I don't know about tomatoes. Well, I love the yellow cherry tomatoes that my grandmother grows (candy!), but it's harder for me to love big tomatoes.
