free TV

We have a TV that we want to give away to someone [reasonably local]. It's fairly large (about 25"), and there's nothing wrong with it, we just never seem to wheel it out of the closet to watch it. I'd be happy to deliver it to you, but for the fact that I don't think I can lift it by myself. Anyone interested?

Sadly, you are too far away to qualify as local and therefore you do not win the free TV. :(

no, i don't want the TV anyway. i actually have one in my closet that i'm trying to get rid of, myself (but it's nice and i want to sell it, blah blah blah).

No, I'm completely content with my circa 1984 screen and my VCR tapes. (We did not buy the box when broadcast TV went digital. Some year I might buy a DVD player. But not this one.)

I take pride in my weirdness, thank you very much. I also take pride in having swayed my husband's TV-viewing habits such that he's willing to not have the thing around... although I have to admit, we spend at least as much time on the Internet as the average American spends watching TV.

Yikes, I just noticed your response (lj notifies my yahoo account which I only rarely check nowadays). It's already tomorrow night (i.e., Wednesday) and too late. But tomorrow from now (Thursday) would work.
