I was walking through Harvard Square tonight and I noticed a guy sitting on a parked motorcycle. Its kickstand was down and this guy was perched on the seat staring at someone. I followed his gaze to a flat-screen TV in the window of Cardullo's, which was showing the Sox game. Then I noticed that Motorcycle Dude wasn't the only one watching the game: there was a row of camp chairs set up on the sidewalk. A woman was doing needlepoint and watching the game. A guy was rolling a baby carriage back and forth and watching the game. And indeed, I had to agree that it was a beautiful evening to be sitting outside to watch the game.
