I know, right?! It reminds me of something Calvino or Borges would dream up.

I thought I recognized the horizon...
I do hope that construction is detachable, and has some planned accommodation for the gradual growth of trunk diameters!

Yes, it's detachable. I saw it when the artist was test-fitting it and he said it would be there until it falls apart, so I suspect that will happen before the tree gets too big for it.
