oh! so the last several times I loaded my friends page, there were no photos, so all I was getting was the meta text ("spirit animal of the 80s") which was... very pleasantly surreal :)
*grumble* Still haven't found reliable image hosting, I guess. I'll keep looking. I understand if I were willing to get a yahoo account, flickr would be a very good choice. But I'm not that desperate yet.
is the resistence just to getting Yet Another Account, or something more problematic? (if you don't use your yahoo account for anything commercial and don't reuse passwords, the fact that they've gotten cracked before and probably will again can't hurt you much.)
Huh. I'm glad you asked, because I've had the "I'm never going to create a yahoo account" prohibition for so long I've forgotten the specifics of why. I do know that the one yahoo group I do belong to (I think the admin had to add my gmail address manually?) has a stupid and unwieldy UI. And yes, after I killed my AOL account in 2005 I felt very resistant to creating another email-spamfield... But I'm surprised to find that yahoo has continued to exist, and given its affiliation with flickr perhaps it's time for me to give it a chance, if only for that service.
