It's a street tree, so I'm guessing it's something ornamental that's not edible. I'll put another photo in the comments.

Probably a very large beautyberry, if the fruits are the size of a peppercorn.

Nnnno, I don't thiiink it's a beautyberry. They don't seem to be trees, I think they're only bushes; and the berries cluster closer to the branch than these; and beautyberries seem to be a bluer purple, and shinier.
