My livejournal and facebook friend urbpan lives near you and is an expert on mushrooms, among other living things. Before my injury, I was planning to meet him by going up there in October for one of his urban nature walks... we'll see now... anyway, if you don't know him yet, I hope you'll check out his journal.
He seems to be a very prolific poster, and while it looks like he's up to interesting things... I can't add more internet time to my life at the moment. Maybe another year I can sign up for one of his mushroom expeditions.
