Detail: This quilt was made for a room with mint-green walls. The fabric with all the multi-colored dots was the driving force behind my color choices: its background is the same color as the walls, and I chose all the purples and blues to match it. You can't really tell because of the lighting in these photos, but the largest solid band is the deep fuchsia color of some of those dots.
I look at the finished piece and it's amazing. I look at the detail and the patterns up against each other make my head hurt. Keep doing that magic you do.
All your quilts are usually fabulous, but this one is even more fabulous. I like how it has a regular pattern, but some of the pieces are made up of wedges.
To be fair, I finished this a month ago and only just got to deliver it to my customer (my high school English teacher) yesterday, so now I get to post the photo.
