This is for a quilt I'm working on. I've done a lot more organizing than is strictly necessary for this one, since I want it to look fairly random (as far as color and shade go) when it's finished.

Ahh! But in order to be properly random, you need to have a very well sorted pile so that they look nice next to each other. So say I, the organization and color geek.

Right. And this morning I started piecing it together, matching dots with dots and stripes with stripes and butterflies with butterflies as long as the colors don't look awful together -- after all, I think the shapes are going to be what the Bear cares about when she starts paying attention to what's in this quilt.
