This is my former neighbor, Bridger. I go back to visit him once in a while, and it's clear he remembers me -- though it took him a while to forgive me for moving away. His first winter in the neighborhood, he would appear on my porch when I got home from work and I would hold him inside my coat to warm up for a few minutes. He still gives the best hugs, with a paw on each shoulder and his cheek against mine. The one thing he's not good at is posing for photos.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to capture. They're usually more green than blue, but I guess it was the overcast light that day. It was actually raining a bit when I was there, which I suspect is why I found B sitting on the porch instead of patrolling the neighborhood.
