So I finally came home last night, and the kitchen floor is beautiful. I had stopped by Harvest on the way home and picked up fresh veggies and chicken sausage for jambalaya...
But the stove was still out in the back stairwell. I called Star to ask if I could cook my dinner upstairs, and Nick said I should come upstairs for chili and corn bread. It was a lovely dinner.
This morning I got in the shower and smelled smoke -- stale cigarette smoke. Apparently the floor guys smoked in our bathroom and now the curtain on the window (in the bathtub) stinks of smoke. EEEWWWW!!
Long day at work. Spent a good portion of the afternoon ripping out hems, and now my back hurts. But in general I like the place, so I can't complain. Work is good.
