Looks like the leaves we had on the pear tree before our landlords cut it down. No idea why it has those patterns but our pear had those too which is why I think that might be what it is.
A couple of years ago, I happened to see some particularly beautiful leaves like these on the sidewalk outside a UPS Store where they were having a sale on color photocopying. So I picked up several handfuls of them and asked the [very tolerant] guy behind the counter to just lay them in the copier however they best fit, and he made three pages of beautiful copies for me.
