it wasn't eaten. they just had extra ln2 and were dipping things in it. it got flicked repeatedly with a fingernail so piles of petals shattered and floated to the ground. happened too randomly and quickly for pics, but i was watching it thinking it needed documenting.
Actually, the petals don't have much flavor and what they have is bitter, but they are pretty and luckily someone had brought rose water for flavoring purposes.
