I just want to show off two more skirts, and then I'll move on to other subjects...

blue and yellow skirt

magenta and light green skirt

When I'm choosing fabric for a skirt, it has to be fabric that makes me say, "oooooh, I want that!" It can be hard to find two fabrics that both meet that requirement and look good together. Here are two examples where I bought the first fabric (the big blue peacock feathers in one skirt and the tiny magenta peacock feathers in the other) and then searched through many, many options before finding a match that I loved. (In case it isn't clear, this search is a task I love to do.) Choosing the color of grosgrain ribbon to cover the diagonal seam is a similar challenge on a smaller scale.

I LOVE the blue one. Do you make them in sizes a woman of my size could wear?

They're modular, so yes! I've made skirts with seven, eight, and nine wedge panels, and could do more. I've also developed patterns of different lengths -- the red and turquoise skirt I posted yesterday was a petite, these are the original length, and I have a longer version too.

Do you have an online store anywhere? Also, do you take commissions? I would love to have a quilt from you for my office daybed.

I think all the female-identified humans in my house need one. I will converse with you on this AFTER the weekend.

Yay! Maybe you can all match in some way... same colors, different prints... or same design print in different colors...

...waitasec, do you have female-identified NON-HUMANS in your house?

Hah- re: matching-- I was just trying to figure how to make us as least matchy as possible.

We have a LOT of stuffed animals, most of whom get dressed in all sorts of wacky outfits. I felt a need to differentiate.

I feel like "a LOT" does not convey the... magnitude of the stuffed animal army in our house.

Also, I suspect that at least one of the female-identified non-humans in our house would look fetching in one of those skirts, but that seems like a lot of extra work for very little reward.
