In my family we have traditional ways to celebrate our birthdays -- my brother's is July 5th, and we always used to take him and some friends to see fireworks the night before and eat cake that looked like a flag... my birthday is in late September, so we've gone apple picking for as long as I can remember...

But nobody in my family has a winter birthday. Kyle's is this weekend, but he doesn't like to celebrate it. What sorts of things did you do for birthday parties when you were a kid? We should teach Little Bear to ice skate or something. Or there's always Chuck E Cheese, I guess -- but I want her to have something specialer than that, something more her own.
