This is actually an almost-square rectangle; the snowbank in the driveway makes a nice background except that it makes the quilt appear to be an odd shape.

I deliberately left the pockets open because this is a gift for a four-year-old, and I was thinking he might want to park his matchbox cars in the pockets, although he may have other ideas.

Hmm, if you haven't yet given the quilt to the 4-y-o, I'd sew a squeaker into one of the pockets.

Ha! I love that idea. I did give the quilt to him, and true to expectations, he was much more interested in showing me the Roomba they'd bought the day before. :)
