I'm guessing that those are candied rose petals but I keeping thinking 'pickled ginger' and craving sushi.

The candied rose petals are sheer fabric, pearl-edged and rouched, which will eventually be layered as trim for a princess dress, as soon as we get the collar fabric delivered.

And yes, pickled ginger is a very accurate description of the color.

Yep, that's pretty much it. I was thinking of them as cherry petals, but that's close 'nough. :)
