The scene: the brand-new Fairway grocery store in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
The characters: my Grandma, the guy behind the meat counter, and a passing man with a grocery cart and a long ponytail.
Grandma, to meat-counter guy: What cut is the roast beef?
Meat guy, heavy accent: Pardon?
Grandma: What CUT is it?
Meat guy: I'm sorry?
Grandma: What part of the animal is it from?
Meat guy: I don't know. (Turns and asks other employees. Nobody knows.)
Ponytail man, in a loud voice: Entre las piernas!
