dead restaurants (aren't much yum)

Last Friday we went to Watertown to have dinner at Sepal, the Middle-Eastern restaurant we like[d]. It was closed -- gone; space for rent. They still have a stand at the MIT student center, but it has limited hours (11-8, M-F) and doesn't serve the dessert I really liked (kunaffa).

Tonight we went to go to the Indian restaurant near our house -- and it, too, was closed (coming soon: Himalayan restaurant!)

Now I feel like I can't really like a restaurant, because it'll close.
I still miss the crepe place that was in Davis briefly -- they did a fresh-spinach, portobello, and swiss crepe that was just perfect. RIP.

I know what you mean. I liked the sushi restaraunt close to our house — closed within a year. Then we transferred our liking to Roka in Harvard sq. Closed now, too.

Wow! I am sorry, I loved that place.

Equinox here in Framingham was only here for a year, then they moved back to the Cape.

wait, didn't sepal move?
(or was this closing in the new moved space?)

They were on Mt Auburn St until about 2 years ago, and they moved two blocks to Nichols for the bigger space. I think they would've done okay if they still had an foot traffic, but in the new location nobody found them "by accident," so I guess that's why they closed.

I miss that crepe place too. Now I'm all hungry.

http://www.sepalrestaurant.com/ shows a splash for a few seconds that indicates that they are closed. So, I would guess they are done. Which is sad.

I've been lucky in my restaurant lurve round Bostonia - my ice cream place is still open, my dessert place is still open, my Indian place and Mexican place are still open, and the pizza place I found through my gaming group will be able to deliver to us in our new digs.

I do miss the crepe place, yeah.

I am semi-seriously thinking of calling a foodie run for the Big E this September - lots of expensive and insanely good junk food.
