Could be a futon frame.

There's something about the texture of the wood grain that makes me think it's smaller than that. I'm thinking some weirdo oriental kitchen gadget. It looks like the wood slats are mounted with cylindrical ends so they'll spin. There's a nice "figure/ground" effect with the shadow that makes it hard to tell how the slats are slanted.

I think that's just a slightly loose frame on something like a crib or stair rail.

Those of you who guessed it's furniture are the closest... but still, nobody's got the right answer.

I believe those are crib spindles.

Looks like an outdoor railing along a balcony or patio.

I'm gonna give you the prize* -- it is indeed a chair, though not of the folding variety.

*sorry, there is actually no prize.

Apparently it's MY chair, but I didn't know til I was given the answer. Wow!

It's Sunday almost noon. If you want to come over, the light's pretty good :)
