lemonade everywhere!
I was all proud of myself, I got to the food court five minutes before they closed and got myself a salad and a Nantucket Nectar. Normally I go to Ana's, and I actually like their lemonade more than the fancy stuff... but I was tired of burritos and I figured I'd save myself a stop. I put the salad in a plastic bag and tied it to my handlebar, so the lowfat italian wouldn't run into the tunafish; I put the lemonade in my pannier so it wouldn't disturb the salad's balance. Then I biked down to the campus center, locked up, and came inside.
I don't know why I went to wash hands before putting my things down in Lobdell. Maybe I needed to pee. Anyhow, I finished in the bathroom, and by then I was carrying my jacket, my pannier, my helmet (with water bottle in it), and a plastic bag with a salad. I held the pannier with two fingers so I could open the bathroom door with the other two... and it slipped onto the floor.
At first I thought, no big deal. But then -- that was a glass bottle! Was. Now my books were swimming in two inches of lemonade and glass shards. I unpacked everything in the hallway and dumped the remains of the bottle into the trash. Everything is sticky, but I managed to avoid actually cutting myself on the glass.
Good thing I wasn't reading a library book.

I've done similar things over the years... I'm sometimes remarkably inept with things like this.
If I had remembered you were at MIT last night (Tues), I would have said hi... I was in Sala, working on stage lights for Patience. We were working at something of a panicked pace...
