sculpture of a guy made of numbers, lit from within

Someone was asking me about that tonight at the JCDS Chanukah party. Where on campus is it?

Never mind, I see W20 in the background.

People who are less clued might like to know -- I guess from the building number that this is at MIT. I'll be there tomorrow and could go look at this thing if I knew more accurately where you were talking about.

It's between the Student Center and Mass Ave.

I think I read in the Tech that it's on loan for a year, but I forget where from.

Cool -- I love the idea of turning the surrounding area into part of the sculpture.

You must have taken that pic from across the street. I was surprised by how big it was in real life.

I think this is the shot that I crowded up against a tree to get, so on the same side of Mass Ave as the sculpture but close to the sidewalk.

It's huge. I think the article in the Tech said that it was designed for people to walk inside it. Too bad they felt the need to fence it off here.

It was not fenced off when I looked at it Thursday. There were people who did go in it, though I didn't. Perhaps just at the unveiling when there was a crowd. But after the other people left, I walked around and looked at the symbols and there wasn't anyone else within 50 feet.
