Depending on details that aren't apparent, here, I'd guess either Red-Shouldered Hawk (link), Broad-Winged Hawk (light morph), or Sharp-Shinned Hawk.

Nicely spotted observed, whatever it is!

According to the animal control officer in town (Arlington, MA), it's a Red-Shouldered Hawk.

I posted on the town Fb page and the animal control officer responded at first that it was a juvenile Red-Tailed Hawk but then she corrected herself to say no, it's a Red-Shouldered Hawk.
